accutrigger

The accutrigger seems good to those who are accustomed to using POS triggers that were on many factory rifles. A properly adjusted M70 or M700 trigger is very acceptable, as are many relatively inexpensive aftermarket triggers. For real triggers, the Jewell is difficult to beat, but is also pricey. The factories are working on improving trigger design of late...it's a slow process, but we all benefit. Regards, Eagleye.

I consider the Accutrigger the best and SAFEST factory trigger on my HUNTING rifles.

The many I have used all break very cleanly with little to no overtravel.

The standard trigger pretty much doesn't get lighter then 2lbs without being unsafe.

For competition, my trigger pull is in the ounces.

I'd expect a comment like this from Obtunded... Nice one! :D

As for the Accu-Trigger, I use one all the time (not my own) and I really like the way it breaks and how light it is, but I'm not sure if it's one of the most important contributions to precision shooting lol...

I'd say it's mostly a good way to make an extremely light trigger pull safe, although I find the trigger alone to be really good: crisp with very little travel.

I have two of them. One on a rimfire and one on a heavy barrel .308. Love them both. But like some people say, "People only like them until they try a professional trigger." I have had the luxury of not using a "professional" trigger.

There have been a few elitist posts made here.

Good for you guys who have the best triggers. Good for you who have the money for them. Not everyone does.

So everything else is junk if it isn't a Jewel or personally hand tuned by the gun owner.

Try and remember this is the precision rifle tab
