AccuWedge???? Anyone use one?

There are a lot of opions on the use of the AccuWedge, get it if the looseness really bothers you, otherwise it really doesn't make that much of a difference.

What Bolivar said.

OR,
for a permanent fix,
take a set of automotive feeler gages and find the gage that eliminates the play there is between upper and lower. Then cut that size gage down into a pad to fit under the take down pin section,
and epoxy it in place,

I think more parts friction damage is possible with one of these gizmos than the non-existing problem it causes.

The better solution is to stop worrying about stupid sh*t and focus on shooting the rifle and improving your skills.

Save your money. Your #### won't fall off!

Spend the money on :ar15: practice ammo and improving your magazine changes / skills / advance and fire etc etc. Get out and shoot and leave the mirror for real Mirror Kommandos like me! LOL

Why?
Anyone will hear my fat arse gasping and wheezing way before they'll notice any rattle between my upper and lower.

I agree... But, get to a level where your engaging targets at 500yrds+ and that little play in your receiver can start to cause issues for your accuracy.

Then again, there are very few people that do that with their AR-15's... Sub 300yrds its not needed.. 500+ its still probably not needed unless you had a decent amount of wobble... meh

Some of you guys are really harsh there....
Most of you shooters should know that distractions play a part in accuracy.
Some people would fixate on that wobble..... and if a couple dollar part helps keep there mind on putting the bullet in the right spot then it is more then worth it.

My 2 cents

A cheaper solution is to put an O ring around the front pivot, either way a few of the guys who are 'harsh' about this would be more distracted by the fact that their range is two way, than they would by a little rattle. One of the big knocks on the wedge is that the increased friction causes the pins and/or lugs to wear, rendering the upper useless.
