Gents,

Bought a Swiss Arms at the Calgary gun show a few weeks ago and want to top it with an ACOG. I have been to TSE to take a look at the VERY few they have and was hoping someone here has had experience with shooting the Swiss Arms with an ACOG. I want either a TA33H-G (3x30 Green horseshoe reticle) or the TA11F (3.5x35 Red Chevron reticle).

Thoughts or opinions on these two ACOG's? I want to use the 1 MOA accuracy of the Swiss Arms to it's fullest potential so that is the main criteria,Is the 2 MOA dot on the TA33H to large for 1 MOA groups? Is the chevron a better choice for tight groups?

Thanks in advance for your input.

Acog on swiss arms

My preferance is the ACOG TA31F chevron, very accurate, fast target aqusition and 4X to enable minimal target identification and observation, good perifial vision, wide objective lens. I have a TA31F on my 20 in. Swiss Green Classic, nice easy chevron reticle for the eye to pick up on, not as cluttered as a TA01NSN or the Elcan Spectres I had previously used a TA31A solid triangle which was also very good but concealed some target detail, it's now on an AR. Minimal magnification for a Swiss would start at about 4X and go up to a variable scope power anything under would not be giving the Swiss it's true accuracy potential. It's hard to beat the Bindon concept as both your eyes are open and gives you a bit more awareness as to what is happening on both sides of you. A premium battle scope. The later ACOGS used by the USMC and ARMY are now all chevron.
