ACOG questions

I'm currently considering replacing my Leupold 1.5-5X SPR with an ACOG.

The model I'm considering is a TA33R...red chevron, 3X compact ACOG.
Any one have experience with this?

How is the 3X for closer work? (less than 50yards)

I have a TA31 with BAC and it is awesome. Go for it.

I have used mt TA031 NSN, which is 4x, even at 50M, and it is great. You can't go wrong with an ACOG.

You will never be disappointed with an ACOG, unless you shoot like me (really KRAPPY) So I switched BACK to my Leupold MR/T series. D'OH

ACOGs are the best optic I have used so far. I like how robust they are and the simple reticles you get. I haven't tried any of the high end stuff like S&B but I like how ACOGs don't need batteries and the glass is really crisp. Pretty much the perfect AR scope in my mind...
