Was over at a friends the other day, and he pulled out some 22 rounds that he called acorns.... they are even smaller than a 22short...

Anyone know anything about these? They were pretty much inaudible when shooting them which I thought was really cool.

Any reason not to shoot these rounds through a Cooey or whatever? Wouldnt hurt anything due to its length?

i have some they call them cb caps. they have no powder just priming mix. they shoot anywhere around 500-600 feet per second. i use them in my bolt with no problems.

There are 22 cal blanks available for starters pistols called acorns. You can load tham in a 22 rifle and they will fire, shouldn't hurt the rifle, although they may have extraction issues. They are just blanks, no bullet, so not sure you what you would use them for (dog training?).

No there is an actual bullet, the case on them are even shorter than 22 shorts though.

Its a true CB short then. You can get CB longs too, but the orginal was a 20-30gr bullet over priming mix.

Might also be a BB-short, or bulleted breach cap.
