So the time has come to action bed and pillar bed my 93. I picked up Brownells accraglas gel and about to start my project. I figure I will bed the recoil lug at the back, and around the action screws. I want to pillar bed it as well because there is a small gap between the front screw and where it bolts into on the action. Ther small gap caused the wood to crack when torqued. The real questions I have are: should I bed the first few inches of the barrel where it contacts the stock and should I bed the sides of the action, as there is a gap between the action and both sides of the stock?

Thanks

I would probably glass bed the first 1.5" or so forward of the recoil lug where the stock touches the barrel (and free float the rest of the barrel). I would also bed the reciever walls (on the top part of the stock that touches the round part of the action. You might alsoo want to glass bed the tang.
