Action Wrenches

I have a PGW Coyote action with a .260rem barrel on it. I also have a .308 barrel, which I would like to interchange back and forth and what not. I plan on ordering an action wrench from Sinclair's but what kind I get. The Coyote action has a bolt style like a Remington bolt (2 lugger).

Do I order a Reminton type action wrench? Or which kind should I get? Or is there any Canadian retellers that selss action wrenches?

I made one out of a piece of Ford axle. It works well on Remington and Savage actions.

Syxx... you can get one of Tom's old barrels (or a new one..just don't tell him) and turn/mill a bolt head and .700 dia. Either put a socket on the other end or fit a tee handle.

I made very similar to Den's pictured above (rear entry the best way to go).......................get your mind back on guns.
but I made the lug engagement surface the full length of action.More uniform
when torquing on action.
Get the barrel vise that uses wood block and rosin .Less chance of marring barrel.Wood blocks easy to shape to fit your barrel exact and easy to replace when worn.
There is a kit that uses devcon mold to create a barrel bearing surface but have tried it.

I disagree on the full length engagement of the wrench. I think you are much less likely to twist or damage an action using the "spade" type wrench. Most front locking lug actions are quite weak in the middle of the action, I want all the torque of the wrench up in the front of the action.

Agreed! All torquing should be done as close to the threads as possible.

Can I see a picture of that on an action. Can't really see how it works.

Remove the bolt from the action, replace it with this wrench, inserting it as far forward as you can... the "spade" is longer than the bolt lug so it engages the action immediately behind the lug recesses.
