Actual value of a complete C No7 rear sight and #1 bolt head

Marstar wanted $45 for the sight and $27 for a bolt head(requires fitting. They are not drop in parts).
Parts are only rare if you're selling 'em. However, the "actual price" would be whatever somebody is willing to pay.

Well, finding them is the first thing because they certainly aren't as plentiful as they used to be. Get onto the banner advertisers and check them out. Posting as you did might find someone with some of those parts available.

As for not being drop in parts as Sunray mentioned that is a very BIG MAYBE. I have never had a problem with that on several different rifles. But you never know it is easily possible.

There are also other parts you will need to procure as well, such as firing pin, proper extractor and striker with spring. Most common bolts that are acceptable for the Mark of rifle you are converting should work just fine.

I saw a very neat little No5 that had been converted to 22rimfire recently and the only thing done was to sleeve a worn out barrel with a commercial liner, replace the regular firing pin/spring with an appropriate striker/spring as well as a firing pin/bolt head/extractor. He had an epoxy filled mag as he used it as a single shot. To make a repeater out of these rifles requires a lot of smithing and a lathe.

Thanks bearhunter, but these are parts that I have. I actually have a complete no7 minus the barrel and the firing pin, but before trying to find a way to complete it, I wanted to see if selling the parts would simpler. That's why I'm wondering for the price of the most difficult items to find for a no7.

The most difficult part to find in my experience is the barrel.

The bolt heads for the Cno7 ran from sizes 0 to 5. Normally the rifles will use the zero or the number 1. I have yet to see a rifle with a higher number on it. As such, I would suggest the 0 and 1 bolt heads are worth a fair bit more than the 2, 3, 4 and 5. Complete with extractor and pin, perhaps $50 on the bolt head. For the higher numbers I would suggest the heads might fetch $20 or less stripped.

I have sold complete rear sights for the Cno7 (including the little #3 screw and the windage clicker spring) for up to $125.
