I understand that a person that this person goes by the name of Obtunded represents this company. What I would like to know is how do you get a hold of this person. I emailed this company months ago. As a matter of fact he responed to my very first email back in december a few weeks after I emailed him. Now ever since then he no long return's my emails & his phone line is always busy. This is so wierd because I always see him posting in this fourm.
Did I offend this person &/or company?
Now day's I call the 1-250-319-6331 number the operator says that this number is no longer in service.
What a:kickInTheNuts:
Any other CGNer's have problem's trying to give this guy work or $$$ for goods?
Also Obtunded it would be truely nice if you could reply.
Even if it to say "Go blow it out your @$$!"

I got a barrel from his last year and never had a problem. He's a great guy to talk to, took time to answered all my questions and offered some advice.
Since he is a frequent poster this forum, I'm sure he'll chime in soon

ian is top notch, he has spent many hours entertaining me and my silly questions. i have ordered over 1/2 dozen barrles from him for me and friends. price is good, and more importantly service is great. the missed e mail was probably just an over sight as i know he does have a lot on his plate. you won't be disappointed with and dealings.

Also got a barrel from him early this year. Exceptional service and top level advice. Emails and telephone was quicker than prompt. Only positive for Obtunded.

I have been very happy with Ian's service..

I ordered a Bbl back in Jan and it's delivery was significantly delayed due to customs issues and shipping slowdowns. It should arrive next week.

Even though it took a long long time to get, Ian kept me up do date on a regular basis and has always responded to any of my emails quickly

Ok I will try again right now.
& Thanks to all the reply's.
P.S. Please check your junk folder cuz maybe for some wierd reason they might be in there.

I really don't see things getting better for us gunlovers LOL

Ian is a first class guy!!

I have purchased a couple barrels from him, and all went very smoothly.

Now if we could just get Kreiger to make a sporter weight barrel in stainless like the rest of the world!!:dancingbanana::dancingbanana:

Thanks to all of you for your kind words... there is a bit of an explanation here for a few problems I've had in communication.

Early in the year I switched to Windows 7. I have alsways used plain old Outlook Express/Windows Mail for emails. That is no longer an option in Win7, so I started using Office '07 Outlook.

Between it and Telus, almost anyone who wrote from a hotmail, gmail, yahoo, ect. had their mail end up in a junk folder, that I did not even know was there! I went through the ~1200 junk messages I get as a result of having me email address on my website for any bot to come along and attach to its ads for #### tonics and tried to find the ones that were missed.

I am sorry about that, but I do check the damned junk mail folder now...

Now if we could just get Kreiger to make a sporter weight barrel in stainless like the rest of the world!!

I know Tom, that is just plain stupid....

Someday I hope to have a Krieger pipe on my 223. I'm getting into reloading right now.

I need more shooting practice before I can get into a match barrel... just a matter of time!

Hey Zey, whether you go with a Krieger (I have my own bias about their unsurpassed excellence ;)) or any other custom match barrel, it is easier to become a better reloader and a better shooter when you know the gun is capable of excellence.

Here are a few pearls to think about...

Actually, I've read that 10 golden rules at least several times now. It stirs in my mind often.

I may aswell ask here, maybe a lil' bit off topic but oh well, my questions that arise from that article you wrote:

1. "There are accurate cartridges and there are cartridges that resist being accurate" Is .223Rem or .223AI a good caliber to get into precision shooting/hunting? I like them because they are so common and easy to find data/products for.
2. "Function follows form!" I'm into prone and bench rest both. I want 1 stock for it all. I like the looks of the B&C Varmint tactical medalist... good idea?

223 is an accurate cartridge, yes. With the right bullets, it can be exceptional. There are better cartridges for pushing the heavy 90 grain bullets though (22BR). The AI variant can be very good as well, but I would stick with the 223.

The B&C stock - if it fits you properly - would be fine. Pure BR stocks are very linear, and are sometimes awkward to use prone. They are typically a free-recoil design, so the grip is not ergonomically designed for prone shooting. Some F-Class guys shoot what is essentially a BR rifle off a BR rest, but I would recommend against committing yourself to this sort of a set up.
