From the picture they seem to be pump action. Not sure why the one with a 5 round box magazine cost 140 extra compared to the 10 rounds rotary, seems awfully expensive for a lower cap magazine and no buttstock.

I use to own an 88 and had no problem with the action. So far I have not shot any of the Adaptive models. I have handled them extensively and like the balance and functionality of the rails. The 10 round drum loads very easy and can be loaded either way (giving the user the option to have the drum on the left or right).
