Just to tell you that I had a blast last evening.

I discovered trap shooting at the local club. Wow ! Beats handgun shooting in the fun departement !

I shoot 3 rounds , and I ended 15 21 21 . Yeah....I know.... they told me I was a natural

I before going there, was expecting a handcocked clay machine ! ha ha.

Really fun sport .

Now I have to do that 25.

Agreed, sporting clays, trap and skeet are great. Not sure what kind of handgun shooting you were doing, but you should give IDPA or IPSC a try. Then if you want an addictive experience you try 3-gun.

I know I'm going to get an ear full for this but IMO, Trap and Skeet are to Sporting Clays what a driving range is to golf. Great practice, but it's not the same as the real game. Honest - I'm not trolling ... just my opinion.

I had taken my 14" SuperNova out (got laughed at by the old timers) but did decent for what it was, bought a Wingmaster and got up to a 21 with that but have gone about 8 times now in the last couple months so decided to invest in it and bought an older Italian O/U and can't wait to get to learn to shoot that!!

fwoww, I agree with you. However when trap and skeet become boring and 'easy', international trap and skeet are waiting in the wings to kick your *#@.

I just started not long ago as well, I bought myself a Browning Trap XT after using it to shoot 4 rounds. I averaged 20 my first day as well. I've been 8 times now and I hit my first 25 2 weeks ago, they shot my hat and gave me a little patch. I am having a lot of fun doing it and am glad I started. Last weekend I went up and shot 2 23's in singles, and I hit a 23 and a 24 in handicap at 20 yards.
