Adding a bipod adapter to the M-305

Been wanting to add a bipod to my M-305. Can the existing sling attachment be removed and replaced or can the hole under the gas tube be used.
Harris has a part I could use but don't ship to Canada.
Would like to hear of your ideas and fixes.

we've discussed this at length before- longer story short, just drill out one of the rivets and put a sling swivel stud and t-nut in there- cut it off, and epoxy it in place- DO NOT use the drail hole far forward, as it is both a water drain and a gas relief hole
