Adding andATI stock on my Norinco/Grizzly.

I have the fore-end replaced just need to trim a bit more off of it for the mag well on the reciever.

I am however having an issue with the bolt supplied with the ATI Talon stock that is 1/4" but the norinco thread is somewhere around a 6mm.

What have others done to work with the difference or does anyone know where to find a replacement bolt.

I tapped the adaptor to 1/4 on my mag fed.

I just put an ati talon pistol grip 6 position stock on my bnib DA grizzly with no issues. Must be a diff between the norc and DA ?

ya i noticed that when i got a DA it was 1/4 out of the box.

I was considering drilling and taping but I didn't want to do make reversible changes incase I want the ATI stock on another gun.

Just take a die and tap set and do a couple light runs. Not much is needed, the factory bolt will still bite afterwards if you want to go back. I have a knox spec ops recoil-reducing stock on mine, and had to do the same.

Ps I did nothing to the stock bolt, just a light tap run on the Grizzly side.

Nope. My Grizzly need a tap, my norinco didn't. It is actually really close, if you sprayed a little wd40 and torqued it, it would probably go, but a light pass with a tap is safer.

Weird. My grizzly mag didnt need tapping. 3 different bolts I tried work in both my wingmaster and the griz

So I went to the garage to drill use my drill and tap to discover my Crappy tire set doesn't have a tap for a 1/4" X 28 (NF) thread.

I also verified the stock bolt is 6mmx1.00 thread. So now I need either a new tap set or a new bolt. I will have to wait til monday to see if we have the correct tap at work.
