I have the Ruger PC Carbine with the M-lok hand guard, model 19125. When I ordered it, I didn't realize that it doesn't come with iron sights. I search online and I found some things people did in the USA with parts I haven't been able to find up here.

Anyone have any luck with this?

Thanks

Just about any BUIS that fit a AR will work on the Ruger pcc..

But why not go straight to a red dot , the cost of iron will put you about half way to a decent red dot

Or do both

get a decent red dot (primary) and a budget iron sight (backup)

amazon has some budget iron sights for $40-50

OP, sounds like you might be new at this - Quality iron sights cost about as much as an entry level quality red dot. Cheap iron sights are cheap in every way, but generally usable. Available on Amazon (try searching for "backup iron sights").

my plan is to add iron sights and have them co-witness with a red dot I already have. I bought the red dot for my SU16 but the sights that come with it are too low to cowitness.

Who said anything about cheap sights? I realize what they cost, so I'd rather hear of someone who had success than buying sights that wont work.

Fair enough - If you're prepared to spend, then your simplest option is to swap in the handguard from the fixed buttstock MLOK version, irons are built in. But depending on your cheekbones, you might find them uncomfortably low with your buttstock. Or maybe it's fine.

For everyone else, MM is talking about the adjustable stock version: There is no rail available to mount a front sight unless you use the short bit on the rear of the handguard, right in front of the receiver. Super short sight radius, wouldn't be my choice.

The best solution I can think of is to use a generic barrel clamp mount to get a pic rail in front of the handguard, close to the muzzle. Just a matter of getting the right height.

for the rear sight you are pretty much stock with a 1913 mount sight. for the front you can do a 1913 mount on the rail on the barrel but, as noted, super short sight radius. you can get an mlok rail section and mount to the handguard further forward but might have height issues, or get a barrel clamp front sight or rail for mounting a front sight (but again height issues).

just search 1913 iron sight or some such. lots of canadian companies carry them, or chinese stuff on ebay (but expect it to spend some time at the border).

and here is a helpful thread from another forum where there are suggestion on low-profile rails and iron sights with enough adjustability ...
