I'm about to re-develop a good load for my 6.8 western using new ADG brass. I'm expecting things to behave differently from the reclaimed Winchester brass that I used to develop my very good load. But I've never loaded with high quality brass like this. Can anyone help me with what to expect with the basic difference in case capacities? I'm making a basic assumption that the ADG brass will have less capacity, thinking that higher quality brass will inherently be thicker giving a lower case capacity. So obviously I will dial back my charge and work up but I would like to make an informed decision on a starting charge weight. Cheers and thank you for any and all responses to a somewhat general question.

Weigh both the old cases (resized) and the new cases. Fill both with water and compare the weight of the water minus the weight of the case.
Cheers and thank you. Unfortunately that won't work for unprimed, unfired, unresized brand new cases not to mention the slight difference in case length due to used and trimmed brass. I'm just wondering if anyone has experienced first hand a noticeable difference between Winchester brass and ADG brass specifically.

Measure the H20 case capacity. Even lot to lot capacity can vary....
