Adjustable Cheekpads/Cartridge holders

Are you sure you need 1? Without having a scope on your rifle yet it is impossible to determine whether your weld spot needs to be adjusted for support and if you have correct eye alignment with your scope.
My experience with most lace/strap on gizmos is that do not always stay constant. If you in fact need the cheek piece higher why not have the fiberglass stock built up professionally to fit you once you have your scope chosen and installed?

I guess you're right; I do love the HS Precision stock though, and I wouldn't be quite ready to pay for a new stock yet.
I'll try out the scope first (I'm set on a Mk4 M1 TMR), and see if I need an adjustable cheekpad. I might just get some sort of cheekpad or cheekrest to help with consistent cheekweld, though I do want a cartridge holder.

I have 2 Blackhawk Cheek pads (with zippered pouch) on both my wife's StealthII and my M700 VSF for our sniper games. For what we want to do, they work well. Easily removed for cleaning the bore, since the cleaning rod rubs against the top of the cheekpiece.

I'm not ready to drill holes in my HS Precisions stocks to install Rooster33 cheekpieces like on my other 2 Norinco M14's.

I cannot justify a new HS Precision stock for over $ 500 USD with the adjustable cheekpiece, not with my son in University.

Oh yeah, I've got an Eagle cheekpiece on my M700 .223 Earth pig Assassin Rifle (groundhog rig).

Find out what works for you !!

Cheers,
Barney

The advantage the Eagle pad has is the "swede" cheek part, where the Blackhawk has a rubberized cheek part, which is not as comfortable on the face.

I have the eagle and like it alot. And Farmboy is A+ to deal with. I got my M24 sling 3 days after making the purchase!

I wouldn't waste your money until you have mounted a scope and determined if a raised cheekrest is neccessary.

If you want a cartridge holder, Uncle Mikes has a slip on one that slides on the butt of the stock and doesn't add height.I have on on my AICS.

Thanks guys!
I'll get the basics first (scope and rings) and then see if I really need added height. If not, I'll grab one of those cartridges holders nathanenge/Skullboy mentioned. I like the Blackhawk pads but they're pretty pricey and I'd probably have to order them from the US, so I might end up getting that Eagle instead.

Thanks,
