So i am looking at getting a Leupold VX-3 4.5 -14x40mm to mount on my Sako 85 22-.250 that i am patiently waiting to arrive in 6-12 months. the gun will be used for varmint hunting. My question is what the advantage to having an adjustable objective vs not as i see they come in both. My thoughts are in a hunting situation not having to worry about adjusting it for a close or far shot is more convient? But will it not have as much clarity at certain distance since it is not adjustable?

A/O is for target shooting at ranges where parallax could be an issue. If you are shooting game, or target shooting over 50-75 yards you really don't need it.
