I am considering an adjustable mold for my .500BPE. The bore slugs .501. I have a mold that drops .502/325GR that I size to .500 then PP and resize to .512 (groove diameter). Not having the best luck with accuracy but am still experimenting with different paper and powder charges. Being 1-38 twist, the 325GR should be ticket, especially since everything I’ve read suggests that this rifle was made for 300-340GR bullets. However, yesterday, out of desperation I tried some .510/450Gr Woodleigh bullets that I had on hand not expecting the slow twist to stabilize them and they showed some real promise. At any rate, the surprising groups I was achieving with the Woodlieghs got me thinking of an adjustable mould that, perhaps I can dial in my bullet weight, length and find something that my rifle likes. I would like to buy from someone that I can discuss my needs with to be sure I get the right mold for my purposes. Any leads would be appreciated.

I did a bit of experimenting in the past with pp bullets and found out that if I put a dab of Lee liquid alox on the paper patched bullet and rolled it between the fingers to have an even coat it helped shooting smaller groups, but this was a 45-70.

I’ve been using a bees wax/ bear grease 50/50 lube because I have lots of both on hand.
