I need to raise the front sight on my SKS a bit but I have no idea how to go about it...it seems pretty stuck in place. It is also my first gun so I am pretty clueless on this kind of thing. I talked to a gunsmith who said to solder a teeny bit onto it to raise it but I would like to know what you more experienced people think as he had never heard of an SKS and didn't know much about that type of sight.

I was also wondering if anyone had replaced their sights with something better? I am pretty interested in a tech200 (I think that is what it's called).

i bought my front sight tool from gunbroker.com for US$6 plus shipping, there is plenty available but you ask if they ship to canada bcos some dont. the tool adjust elevation and windage.

Thank you soooo much, I will check gunbroker.com out for that!

I have to say that left to right my gun is so accurate, and even though I shoot high because of the front sight, it puts holes in the SAME place each time, so I think I will end up with a nice shooting gun after the adjustment. :)

Thanks slicknick...do you know where I would find that on Marstar's webpage? I couldn't find it and I also couldn't find a search function. Oh hey I guess I could just phone them, duh! Nevermind! :D

annie, go to marstar.ca and then click rifles, then sks rifles parts, it is listed for C$19.95, ask about shipping charges....curtton
