I have been trying to find a pictorial of how to adjust the feed lips of a Lee Enfield magazine. Found several references to a site that no longer has it's pictures available. Would someone be so kind as to direct me to a set of pictures of what a properly set up Lee Enfield magazine should look like, or possibly even post such a picture?

Please and Thank you.

Always remember Google is your best friend for getting information because it asks the whole world.

Google question: "How to adjust the feed lips of a Lee Enfield magazine". And don't forget to click on "Images" at the top of the page and follow the images which also leads to more imformation.

https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=how%20to%20adjust%20the%20feed%20lips%20of%20a%20Lee%20Enfield%20magazine

If you can't find the answer then reword the question.

And Grizzly Adams reply is very good but also remember the feed lips were adjusted for military ammunition and as an example a round nose bullet might require tweaking the feed lips.

As mentioned above, the thing is that the mags may have to be tweeked depending on the bullet used. When trying different reloads I usually just single load.

Here are some pictures of correct mag feed lips to use as a guide as to what your one should look like when correct -

A great thank you to mkrnel! That will help a bunch - I have four number four's and nine magazines - none match up and comparing your rounded feed lips to my flattened down ones, it is now obvious that the magazines were being banged into place as reload, rather than using the chargers. Several Google references point to the same site, for which the pictures are not available. Makes sense that the "tuning" needs to be done to fit with the bullet shape used.
