Does anyone know how to adjust trigger pull on the new Remington X-Mark Pro Trigger? I have an SPS with very heavy trigger pull. Have adjusted a number of the older versions with good success.

Thought I would ask before I try. Thanks.

Try trading someone for the old style or buy a Timney, Jewel, Rifle Basics. I have adjusted mine numerous times, but can't get it consistent, finally bought a Timney.

good luck getting through the epoxy. The only thing I haven't tried was the torch. I through an older trigger in the gun, might see if the butane torch will fix the epoxy problem.

Ipel,
Does your rifle have a J-lock in it, if so find a gre-tan shroud and firing pin assembly and replace it. The internals on the j-locks suck, the spring is jammed in there like pushing an earthworm into a straw. This also creates heavier trigger pulls.

Ancient gunsmith saying: You buy junk you own junk. Don’t try to polish the sears. It seams that Remington used a soft steel in the sears and then case hardened or plated them. if you stone or polish them and break through it you run into butter and you are lost. Timney makes a good one for a couple hundred. Or buy an old 700 trigger. Sorry. Rod

I have done a few, they are just harder to work on the the older triggers. Small Allan headed wrenches, heat is required, ignore the top screw. Little "c" clips very difficult and easy to lose. I can usually get them to (sometimes as low as 2 pounds) usually 2.5 to 3 pounds for $60 for the new style trigger, $40 for old styles. includes return mail. The trigger assembly only is required.

That dopy little c clip you are talking about is a pain in the butt guntech. I built a small jig that allows me to hold the pin in a collet in the lathe. Then I re-cut them to the standard E clip that Remington uses on the old 700 triggers. Ill try to take a JPG for you if I remember. Dead simple to make. Rod
