Hi all.. Some advice please. I'm finding my new 9 is shooting low and to the left. To set near dead centre I need to aim to the top right of the circle. How do you adjust for accuracy?

Thanks all

Odds are pretty good you are flinching, and it is most likely not the pistol. Check down the page for the aiming a handgun thread or something like that, the correction chart is in there.

Sorry, it's you. Check out you tube for some videos on shooting technique, or go to pistol-training dot com and look for the "wall drill" alternately a lot of careful dry firing, paying close attention to the fundamentals should help. Your best bet, though would be to get some competent instruction.

Give the gun to an experienced Glock or M&P shooter and have them shoot the gun BEFORE adjusting the sights - 99.9999% of the time it's a shooter with poor fundamentals that causes these guns to shoot low and left. These are some of the least forgiving guns made when it comes to poor fundamental shooting skills, and will almost always throw rounds low and left when a right handed shooter blows it on a shot. When a lefty screws up the rounds go low right - shooting off a bench does not get rid of bad fundamentals, instruction and proper practice do. This may sound harsh, but I've been there, and when I don't pay proper attention to grip, sight alignment, trigger control and follow through, I go right back there - even with 40,000 rounds through my M&P.

A friend of mine has the same issue. We bench shot his gun and we consistently hit low and left. We have not figured out how to adjust the sights yet.

Then both you and your friend are flinching. As enneffgee pointed out above shooting from a wrist rest does not negate bad shooting practices. It may reduce their effect but a flinch is still a flinch even from a rested position.

I've shot 3 or 4 M&P's and they all shot just fine right on POA with 125gn ammo. I also had a fellow that insisted that his M&P needed new sights. I shot it and it also shot right on POA.

Low/Left is the most common complaint from new(right-handed) shooters, and guns are generally set accurately from the factory.

Are you familiar with trigger reset?
As you press the trigger straight to the rear, while concentrating on the front sight, let the shot break when it breaks, then hold the trigger to the rear for a moment.
Slowly release the trigger until you feel a little 'click'. Slowly press the trigger to the rear again.

If you shoot a little less low and left with that method, you're at least on your way to understanding how much we can affect pistols with our trigger finger.

Have a M&P 9 and it shot low and left, figured it was the gun. Wrong O, it was me. Put about 800 rounds down range and out of the blue it started shooting straight. Guess I figured out how to hold it and not flinch.
