Hi guys,

Is that a job I can do myself or is it something that requires a gunsmith.
The rifle is a model 70 Winchester bolt in .270cal. I would also know where could I have info on doing such a job.

Thanks for any inputs

That trigger is so simple, if you can't figure it out, you shouldn't be doing it....

really.....:D

No.. really...

I don't have the rifle with me yet but it's a job I will need to do on it. Never owned a mod 70 so that's why the question.

If it's that simple, like you said, I am probably gona be able to figure it out, :D I just want as much info I can get before starting.

Boo,

Thanks for the link info

It is true that the M70 has the simplest and most reliable trigger on the market. There are two adjustments that you can make the weight of pull and the overtravel, sear engagement will require metal removal and should be left to someone who knows what he is doing because you can create a dangerous rifle if you take off a little too much. If you have a newer model the lock nuts are epoxied in place and you will have to remove the epoxy first, be careful you don't brake anything.
