Okay,
So this is a stupid question, but I have decided to embark on a repro Vietnam era Remington 700 M40 Sniper rifle. In doing so I will be buying a 700 SPS Varmint .308 and currently looking for the Walnut, plain stock, S/A but which of the models is it: ADL, BDL or CDL. I'm assuming that because the originals were built in the mid 60's and thus using the Remington 700 ADL model? But my confusion lies in that I think the current off the shelf SPS Varmint is the BDL model correct, with hinged bottom metal for easy unloading? Thus, I need to find a Remington 700, plain, Walnut S/A, BDL OR ADL Stock????
Thanks.
