ADL conversion question

Gents.
I have a buddy with a 700 ADL he wants me to convert to either floor plate magazine or kwik klip kit.I have a 700 mtn rifle stock here and an extra set of BDL action screws.I am thinking this is as simple as installing the kwik klip in the mtn rifle stock.I have'nt had a ADL apart before,is there anything I am missing?Thanks in advance RB
 
yup..it's that simple..as long as we're talking about a long action...there isn't a Kwik-Klip setup for a short action...to go to the Kwik-Klip setup...going to a floorplate setup will require a different magbox as well as the floorplate/trigger guard setup...the ADL magbox can be modified but it's not worth the trouble.

As stated earlier, the Kwik-Klip is for the 700 long action only....

remove the adl parts,

inlet and install the Kwik-Klip

when inletted to the correct depth to function properly, it may protrude a bit more than the stock profile - you have to live with that.
 
Me thinks someone could make some serious $$ if they ever came out with a detachable magazine kit comparable to the Kwik-Klip for short action Remingtons... :confused:

HS Precision in the US makes them. Brownells sell them. Very expensive compared to the Kwik-Klip and much heavier.
