I was particularly interested in a Leupold VXIII 4.5-14 without the adjustable objective. The scope is for my 22-250 for coyote hunting, and I was wondering if I should worry about the objective or not. Is the adjustment good for long range shots or shouldn't I worry about it and just go with a non adjustable objective??
Thanks for any help or opinions on this matter.

Go for Adjustable

Speed shots at deer close up no need , but for your use the adj. obj. removes parallax error - MUCH more accurate. :sniper:

Get the AO, leave it set at 100 or 200 yards in case you have to make a fast shot on a running yote. Then if you decide to call or have some time to make a shot you can adjust and eliminate error. Also if you ever want to play with some targets the adjustment is there as well. The way I see it you can use an AO scope like a fixed objective, but you cant use a fixed as an AO.

as above

I find the depth of field of focus to be far shallower on AO scopes. For target shooting with highest precision, I think its essential. For shooting animals in the field where fraction of an inch error means nothing, its more to fiddle with, but not necessarily a mistake. If I was buying one for hunting, I'd insist on side focus.
