Advantage Arms G17 Kit? Looking For User Feedback!

Well I have come full circle and ended up with another G17 so I am starting to get set up to get into some IPSC or IDPA shooting, and figure one of these kits would be a great tool to have.

I am looking for opinions from those who are using, or have used these kits.

What kind of ammo works well? I use Blazer in my 10/22.

How reliable is it? How many rounds between cleaning?

Do you find the weight difference strange at all?

Last bu not least, who has one in stock, and what is the best price around?

I recently picked up an AA LE version for my G17.
It's only seen around 300rnds so far. It doesn't seem to like hollowpoints(Win555)...mostly Failures to Feed. RemGolden and Blazer's presented no issues. I'll probably stick with the Blazer's for now because they're readily available at my club and are cleaner.
The .22 slide does feel much lighter than the G17 and takes some getting used to. However, it's great for cheap plinking and my son can shoot all day without too much damage to the wallet.
Don't know who has the best deal but my kit came with 4 OEM mags. I bought mine from Blaxsun.

I've been shooting an LE Advantage arms conversion on my G-17 for about 6 years now. I couldn't tell you how many rounds I have through it... 3-5000 as a guess. The only change that I made was to remove the Glock OEM plastic sights and install Trijicon sights.

With the correct ammunition it is totally reliable. Advantage Arms suggest several brands that will work well, and a couple to stay away from.
Stay away from the Hypervelocity stuff. (Yellowjacket, Stinger, Velocitor) Are all bad for the conversion!!
Personally I shoot 40Gr Round nose CCI Minimags.
I usually clean after every range session which is usually about 2-300 rounds. I suspect it would run much longer.

The weight difference is fairly substantial, but its not really distracting.

Not sure who has any in stock, or what the current price is.

Get one!!!
