What is a Surplus Mountain? For us a Surplus Mountain is a 40 foot container full of Canadian & US Army Surplus + Many other Odd items that has being in our possession for 2 years. We have been wanting to get to this for some time.

We now have a couple of Prospectors excited to start mining Surplus Mountain for the minerals that it contains. Stay Tuned, as later on this afternoon we will begin posting some of the nuggets that we will be unearthing!

No. It's illegal to buy it from the government at auction. However there are no laws about buying it from private individuals. If you receive cadpat from a government shipment, you must lawfully return it for destruction. That's all the law says.

The purchase of textiles originating from the Department of National Defence (DND) should not include CADPAT (Canadian Disruptive Pattern) uniforms and/or accessories unless they have been reduced to rags, preferably by shredding. Reducing to rags means the uniform can never be returned to its whole state. CADPAT items are prohibited from sale and/or distribution. If by error or inadvertence the CADPAT items are left intact and are included in the sale items, the Purchaser must immediately notify GCSurplus and return these items to the client department. Any shipping costs incurred by the Purchaser will be reimbursed by the issuing Canadian Forces Base. The Purchaser's failure to comply with this clause will lead to an immediate cancellation of their GCSurplus account and appropriate legal procedures may be commenced without any further notice.

There's some decent cadpat "style" clones out there. Mostly Chinese knock-offs. But there are some nice ones if you look hard enough.
I have a Tilley type digipat hat that looks damn close and it still has its stitches intact. I wear it every hunting season. I still get comments about where I got it (can't remember).

If you really want the real deal join up lol.
