Advice for cheap high velocity squirrel gun???

You're not going to get much of a PCP for $300, plus you'll have to get a pump and or scuba tank/etc. I'd suggest a cheap ($150-ish) youth bow OR a good 22cal 'Nitro-Break barrel' is within your $300.

OKShooter suggested in 'Repeating ... ' thread nearby, the Snowpeak 22cal repeater - http s://canadashootingsupply.ca/product/seneca-dragonfly-mk2-multi-pump-air-rifle-0-22/ - Looks interesting and PAL rated ca 800fps. And there is the 22cal SnowPeak pistol I mentioned in that thread, Not HV but good if you're under 50-ft I'd think. http s://canadashootingsupply.ca/product/snowpeak-cp1-co2-pistol-22/ - I kill pigeons with my 1322 pistol with 10+ pumps.
All 3 avoid the added expense of pumps, tanks, etc. I had a Crosman Nitro-piston rifle which was 'manageable' cocking, and I'm sure others can suggest some alternate brands.

Wait for a cheap Crosman Phantom .22 to go on sale at crappytire or Peavymart...

WB weld Plug the air bleed, 2L bottle plastic sleeve the spring and add a penny for a bit of weight (depending on the version of the gun you get)

If you want to go all out, Vortec spring kit and Charlie the tuna trigger.

From day one I trained my two cats for fresh blood and both eating organic. My job is only to get the squirrels off the three.
Can't upload pictures but really graphic

I have a high power Ruger Airhawk plus 2 scope options in the exchange equipment. 1000 feet per second rated caliber is .177. Excellent prices on a excellent condition rifle.
