I was in the gun store the other day and they had a real cool "Stoeger Coach shotgun" Its a 12g, has a 20inch SxS barrels, nice wood, and is stainless. Looks really cool. I think it would be great for grouse, phesants, Home defence, busting clays or even deer with slugs or buckshot??? Any thoughts or comments???

Buckshot is for Varmints only... Slugs are for deer!
Now with that out of the way, I can say that the Stoeger is a good reliable shotgun and the service and warrranty from Stoeger is solid.
Great value for the money Seabass... go for it!

Thanks BigRedd, I just needed a little encourgegment.
However there is a restriction to slugs in an area a frequently hunt and buckshot is the only means of harvesting deerski. It does work.

By the by, anyone know what choke can you not shoot slugs out of??

Interesting post BIGREDD we're only allowed to use slugs on big game out here but I was talking to a guy who hunted in the Peterborough area and he said all they could use was buck shot. Have the rules changed recently?

I would say IMO you could use a 00 buck to take a deer but slugs are better.

and NO!! you cant shoot slugs out of anything !! good god some people.
