Any SA-22 owners out there have advice on scoping this rifle? I have the scope (1") and nothing else. browning has scoping components for it but i am having a hell of a time finding any other companies. I live in Southern Ontario and compatible parts are practically non-existant.

Help will be appreciated.
Thanks

Hey, Welcome!

Don't get the browning scope mount. It's ridiculously expensive (I paid 50+ bucks for it locally) and you need special Browning scope rings, which I assume are also crazy pricey. I got a Weaver scope mount for it, which was 15 bucks, and rings are easier to come by. Also, the Browning mount LOOKS like it's a dovetail mount, but it's not. Just different enough to not let a dovetail ring mount securely. The Weaver mount IS dovetail, and it also has that crossbar cutout that Weaver likes.

I have a 3-9x scope on mine, and I'm not a big fan. I dialed in 3 feet of drop at 200 yards and I can kinda get hits, but it's not really worth it. I'd much rather get either a small red dot like a Docter Optic, or a 1-4x type of scope for fast pickup.
