advice on single point sling problem

ok so i went out and bought a used pistol grip for the winchester 12gauge
and it already had a sling point at the back of it so i said aww hell i'll make a single point sling so i went and got the strapping buckles and other odds and ends and whiped it together anyway so how do you single point users stop the shoulder strap from biteing into your neck ? i wear mine so that the non gun side is on top of my left shoulder but the gun side is under my right arm and the strap bites into the left side of my neck

For single point slings it should be worn over your strong shoulder and under your weak arm.

You have it on backwards.

For the sling biting into your neck that comes from the material of the sling, having the sling to tight, not wearing a "tac rig" etc.

1. Get a BFG Anaconda Breachers Sling from farmboy!
2. The sling should be worn on the weak arm.

k well just took it out with me on a bear scouting trip with the_big_mike from here and tried out the pistol grip i am defintly going to trade that for something a little more safe LOL my fourth shot holding it sorta like a regular stock jammed the steel endcap into my chin just below my lower lip and left a nasty gash inside and loosened a few teeth yeah i dont think it liked me LOL as for sling wearing thanks for the advice i think i will be upgradeing to a cormercial one from that cool store "one shot tactical" when the finances warrent it LOL I heard the guy who runs it spends to much time playing with his toys so it must have cool stuff

Playing = R & D
