advice on tuning marlin guide gun...

My 1894 Cowboy in .45 colt was smooth except for the lever latch it was too strong for fast action, so as per the instructions on the Marauder site ,I clipped 1 coil off of the latch spring. Others have taken more off but that was enough to make it feel better for me.

"Can someone please explain the bear proof ejector to me? What is different, and are there reliability issues with the factory unit?"

One gunsmith I talked to who has done a lot of work on these guns said he had only seen one ejector break in all his time with the guns. However they do break and this one is supposed to be bullet proof. Mostly a concern for people for whom this is to be a stopping gun.
