Aero Precision AR-15

Yeah I'm going to have to use an importer then. Lots of friends keep asking me what AR they should get ( thier budget isnt high enough for a Daniel ).

So that's why I'm looking for an Aero, specifically the midlength options that are around 500 USD. Best deal on an AR15 I've found. Blows the sport 2 out of the water lol

Arms East has an empty link on their website for Aero. They are pretty helpful.. Maybe give them a call in the morning. They might be able bring one in for you... They brought in an upper from Stag Arms in the US for me...

I spoke to Saskatoon Gunworks today about Areo, they can built you whatever complete rifle you want from all Areo parts, they even have a 'black rifles' link on the website for inspiration... they have literally dozens of options, just pick your lower and upper style, BCG, handguard, stock, muzzle device, charging handle, barrel lenght and type, and done... they assemble it for you and ship it 2 days after if clears the CFO.

You are going to pay import fees for a rifle far less custom and then spend money changing what you don't like.

True, but I dont think theyll be able to make an Aero out of parts that end price it for basically the same as a S&W sport 2.
500 plus import isnt that bad, I've imported other ARs not available in Canada before

An Aero is a budget AR as well. There's little to no difference between the 2

Aero AC15:
4150 melonite barrel, full auto BCG that is hpt/mpi and a 7075 buffer tube.

M&P:
4140 melonite barrel, semi auto BCG not tested, and a 6061 buffer tube.

Big differences between the 2. I'm not actually sure why anyone buys M&P sports anymore. Way better deals on the market for a similar price.

Aero AC15M is also government profile midlength vs medium/heavy profile carbine gas. The M&P also doesn’t have heatshields in the handguards. M&P has integral trigger guard which is also a minus in my opinion. Can’t be folded down for mitts.

This would a great buy. Wonder why they don’t bring in whole rifles?

Leg and Cadgo are right on point. The Aero also has a more durable/less cheaply made milspec trigger

Aero is an OEM supplier, Smith just takes a bunch of cheap parts and assembles them.

Aero also has a 1/7 twist on the barrel vs a 1/9 and the fact that its a government/socom profile on the midlength offering is sweet.
everything seems to be built to spec as an M4 carbine would be except that the Aero is midlength (bonus), nitrided barrel instead of chrome (bonus again, we dont mag dump full cyclic), tension screw in the lower receiver incase there is play (bonus) and the fact that its a government profile barrel instead of M4 barrel with the M203 notch (bonus again). I believe they only use a regular carbine buffer though instead of an H buffer. Easy fix that only costs 10 - 20 bucks for a tungsten weight.

They also offer the gun with no stock, no forend and with a low profile gas block already installed so you can put the grip, free float rail and stock of your choice on it.

If that kit can be easily acquired and for cheap in Canada, then my recommendations for people wanting to buy a AR would be for budget, get aero ( If you go by specs, theyre better than 6920's ). If your budget it higher, Get a Daniel V7. If you want proprietary parts, Get a Knight's!

Also random thing I noticed, looks like Springfield's Saint AR uses an aero lower, they have the same tension screw
