I am interested in picking one of these up. General purpose camp gun / deer hunting in 10mm. Have you tried either of these rifles? Preferably tried them all? Which one would you buy? My primary concern is reliability

Have a Kriss with my name on it that should be arriving any day now... Got it in 9mm though, will probably end up picking up a 10mm barrel one day when I start reloading but for the moment couldn't pass up the affordability of 9mm. Will report back when I get a chance to shoot it

I have a Thureon in 40 and other than having to upgrade the firing pin it is super accurate and reliable plinker. Would love to try a 10 mm version. Solid well balanced AR style gun. Can't go wrong. Mine never jams. With a little tweaking even KCI mags run flawlessly. Have multiple glock mags and every one runs great.

in all calibers or? I have heard of challenges with the previous 10mm but otherwise the limited reports I've read were relatively positive. What was your experience

I had a 9mm green tnw survival rifle. A fellow cgner bought it off me with all issues disclosed at a substantial discount. And as I understand it my rifle was not the only one with this issue. It would stove pipe about twice every magazine with pretty much any ammo. It also had some odd wear marks on top of the bolt as if it were dragging on the receiver substantially.

The folks over at north sylva handle the warranty, which was an ordeal within itself. They told me the gun was fine and shipped it back to me LOL. TNW eventually got involved and they sent me new extractors. new ejectors and even a new bolt carrier. Nothing fixed the issue.

Thureon will never see another cent from me.

Trying to deal with them for anything other than a broken firing pin is pointless unless you like being treated like a piece of ####.

For how overpriced their rifles are, I would expect nothing but the best fit and finish. The handguard rail on my rifle didn't properly line up with the rail on the receiver.

After being told by Arms East that they couldn't do anything for me and it was TD's problem, I called TD to see about getting the issue squared away.

The guy is easy enough to get ahold of until you need something from him. Told him about the issue and he told me to get back to him in a week. I called back in a week. No answer. Left a message. Never got back to me. Sent an email. No reply. Called back a couple dozen times over the next few weeks and left more messages and sent more emails. Finally called from a different number and got an answer. Took my address and said he would send me a new handguard so I could pay a gunsmith to install it. I never received my new handguard and subsequent calls were ducked.

Kriss in 9mm for this guy and I love it

I *may* add a 10mm lower some day if I get the opportunity, I bet/have heard that they`re a hoot

Not in my case. I had had nothing but great dealings with Thureon Defence. Every time I have needed help they went well passed what was asked for.
