affordable ffp scopes?

Falcon comes to mind. I own 3. One on a 308, one on a 22lr and a third to be mounted on a 17HMR. The one on the 308 was even run over (low speed) by a ATV. No problems with the first two, I have yet to mount the third.

I should also warn you there are almost as many Falcon haters as Vortex haters. :)

You might find a used Vortex Viper in that price range, I have a PST 4-16ffp MRAD model and really like it, mind you i haven't used a nightforce or s&B, but i will probably never at their price point. Where i shoot allows me to go just beyond 1000 yrds and everything is repeatable with the tracking and scope seems clear enough to me. Has illuminated reticle, unconditional lifetime warranty, seems like a win to me. One thing i will advise is to try and get a scope with matching reticle and turret values, MOA-MOA, MRAD-MRAD it will make things a lot easier.

Weaver Tactical is a little more than $800 new, at least when I was looking, but I agree a good scope and I haven't had any issues with mine. Bushnell Elite 3-12x44 is another option.

Some of the Bushnell Elite Tactical line is available in FFP and is comparatively very good glass for the price range. The 6-24x50mm ERS with the G2DMR reticle gets very favorable reviews and is available in Canada for around the $1,100 mark.
