Affordable hard case for shipping?

I order many rifles every year from Tradeex, i always buy a hardcase for 25.00 extra, this way i Always have some for shipping.

I bought a cheap hard case at Cabelas and thinking it would be good to ship a scoped hunting rifle if I decide to sell. I have received rifles from big sporting goods stores that just came in the manufacturer's boxes.

Do you complain to the buyer, when they ship you a gun not in a hard case, locked etc? Or how about a dealer? Most you get is a handgun in a plastic case, NR just come single boxed with no locking device. Heck do you comply to CP rules?
Okay, I'll play.

1.) Do you complain to the buyer, when they ship you a gun not in a hard case, locked etc?

No. Unless the firearm has arrived damaged. The shipper is solely responsible for following all Canada post shipping regulations and complying with the firearm act.

2.) Or how about a dealer?

Differences in the regulations/laws for businesses vs individuals.

3.) Heck do you comply to CP rules?

I have never knowingly broken the law. Having said that, ignorance of the law is no defense.

To end, the subject of shipping & receiving firearms has been beaten to death numerous times over the years. d:h:

The thread wasn’t meant to be a debate about the proper way to ship firearms. I made the thread to see if anyone has come across some cheap hard cases that were easy to wrap with paper for shipping purposes. Thanks to all who stayed on topic though.
