Hi All,
Doesn't quite fit in the "optics" category, but I figured this was the best place to post. I'm slowly looking for a 22lr for grouse hunting next session and I was toying with the idea of installing a laser-sight on it (for the coolness factor obviously :D ). Being that this is going to be on a 22lr and I'm going to be making shots at max, 20 yards, I was wondering if it's possible to find a laser-sight that matches these requirements:

1: Cheap (50$ max, less if possible?)
2: I'd love to have a pressure / on:eek:ff button to activate it
3: Waterproof
4: Would be nice if it could use rechargeable batteries

If anything, I'd consider making something with a simple laser-pointer from Staples or something like that. Has anyone ever tried? Any do-it-yourself guides floating around?

Cheers!

You might want to check the legalities of hunting with a light.
Try the EE or E_ay.

Yup, already done. Nothing on the MRNF's website that seems to say it's illegal to hunt with a laser sight (I'm in Quebec).

MRNF's English Site said:
Laser guided sights (red dot) are allowed to hunt.

MRNF's French Site said:
Les appareils de visée au laser (point rouge) sont permis pour chasser.

It's illegal to hunt with a flashlight after sundown, that's the only thing they say on their site.
