AFG or Pistol grip on the forend of your shotgun

I have had quite a few people ask me about the Magpul AFG on my Grizzly through
PM. So here is my quick review.

Brownells had a sale on AFG 1's, $20 each. I also ordered the MOE® Polymer Rail Section, 5 Slots and 9 Slots. I think they were $12 for both. Just drilled and tapped the hole into the forend, used the bolts that came with the rails.

I personally love the AFG on a short barreled shotty. All my friends that shoot like it too, but anyone that does NOT have alot of shooting experience, tends to twist the AFG to the side, making it hard to rack.
I prefer the AFG 1 on short barreled shotguns, its a bit bigger than the AFG 2 so more to hang onto. I tried a pistol grip too but did not like it. Just did not feel right. IMO.

I use a stubby tango down vert grip on my 13" fabarm and love it. Only issue is it makes it a pain to fit in the eberlestock

Interesting, I never thought to try an AFG on my pump.
I do use it on my M4 with great results.

I didn't like my AFG2 on my HP-9, it was great pulling the slide back but not so good going forward. To each their own I guess.

I tired the AFG on my 870.Like others said its not bad racking the slide back but going forward is kind of awkward.Changed the AFG to a magpul RVG,much much better IMO.

The Quad rail is a brugger & thomet, on my semi auto M4

I too use an AFG on my Benelli M4 with a B&T rail. Works like a dream! Great improvement and very natural point of aim.
