Well day two of AFSAM is done. So far things are going ok. First day of shooting was nice and worm and today the rain was making up for being good to us. After about a 1 hr rain delay. we started anyway. once relay 2 was done it started to let up and was cloudy but nice for the next 2 matches.

there are official teams from the UK, Denmark, Auz, Norway, Holland, Canada, 4 from the USA and unofficial teams from the USA and Canada.

Tomorrow we have beat the buts stile of match and more pistol.
No photos yet but if its not raining will take some tomorrow.

Last day of shooting is tomorrow. We won the beat the butts match. the weather is good so far had a 1hr rain delay the other day but other then that it is good.

the biggest problem is that our pistol score are combined with rifle and we are getting hammered in pistol.

But we have a good team captain this time and the yanks have bean really friendly and really like the colt canada gear that we where given.

Sounds like AFSAM is cancelled for next year and is being moved to may 2012. We are not staying for the WPW matches this time but are hoping to in 2012.

Pretty hard to keep up to National Guard and AMU shooters with tuned Beretas
when all you have is a ####ty Browning you've never fired before.
Don't beat yourselves up over it.We would be competitive IF we had the
same level of care and interest put into the guns teams take to these international competitions.

That pretty much sums up my experience at AFSAM. Overall I had a great time and learned a lot but the Brownings are damn frustrating.
