I am looking for an after market steel recoil guide and spring (18 pounds per factory specs, or 16 or 17 might work for me?). Tungsten guide would be OK as well. If you can think of a shop in Canada that sells these let me know. My local Glock supplier is all out of these. I have checked the usual suspects on-line and nothing in Canada. Probably fairy dust under current circumstances due to Sock Boy and his compatriots.

Thanks,

I haven't personally used this shop in Fort Macleod, but I have heard good things about them so I keep their site bookmarked for when I do need them

RDSC has Zev stainless steel captured guide rods in stock for the Glock 19. They also have 18lb L2D Combat recoil springs for the Glock 19 in stock as well.

I just ordered the Radian Weapons guide rod tuning kit from them, its arriving this Wed. Its for a 19 and and fits gen 1-5 and comes with 3 different spring weights

I dont know why it doesn't show up on their website in the recoil spring section, but if you seach Radian products or type it in the search it will come up

Thanks for the responses. I will call them on Monday to figure out. Seems impossible to find a compatible guide rod and spring set from the same manufacturer. A combo pack with spring weight options would be great. Used to be so simple🙄.

I have other guide rods in other Glock pistols I own, I have Zev guide rods with their spring set (red or blue springs) in both a Gen3 19, and I also run another of them in my Gen 4 17 with their adapter ring to use the Gen3 rod in the Gen4

I also have another Glock 19 Gen3 in that I am running a Lantac uncaptured guide rod, and I have a Wolff Gunsprings spring kit that I ordered directly from them in the USA. I like it but I dont see anyone stocking the Lantac rods in Canada anymore, I bought that from Tenda when they had them. Uncaptured is a little harder to install but its no big deal

The reason I bought the Radian over another Zev or the L2D is a few reasons, I like their new dovetail captured design unlike Zev and many other rods that use a little screw in the front to hold it together. Also it comes with 3 different springs weights 13, 15, and 18lbs, and it also comes with an adapter if you want to use it in a Gen 4-5. So its a complete package from one company that fits any Glock 19 Gen 1-5, 19X or 45. I want to try the 15lb spring in a 19X pistol that I just put their compensator/barrel combo on, the stock gen5 recoil spring I have in there doesnt shoot as flat as the same compesator /barrel combo I have on my Gen3 19 with the Lantac rod and Wolff spring. Most people online say the 15lb works better in that setup, but I get that and the 18 if I take my comp off and run a regular barrel.

Like I said Wolff sells what they call a recoil recalibration pak that comes with 4 different recoil spring weights, and they did ship to me direclty at the time I bought them, however some guide rods like the L2D reguire flat coil ISMI springs. Where as the Lantac guide rod reccomeds using Wolff springs that are round coil springs. So you have to look out for that if you mix brands when you put together you own

This is whats included in the Radian Weapons kit

Brownells…….

Not sure of this. Given current politics and recent seizures by Can Border Services, I am not going to risk getting it shipped from down south. Anything to do with “prohibited” status arms (as in G19s) is now subject to seizure. And you ain’t getting your money back.

Thanks for all the input gents, much appreciated. Glock on!!!

The ability to transfer these handguns was changed, the legal status as restricted firearms did not change.

Brownells is fine.

I ordered a complete slide and other parts for more than one Glock. Nothing in the legislation speaks of parts. AR components were also in the box. Don’t be silly.

order and the your chances. Border Services does what they want. One local retailer had his order seized as it contained parts for G19s!! Nothing silly about losing hard earned money.
