hey fellow gunnutz. i have a TNW mg34 and it has a trigger pull of like 30 pounds (i may be exaggerating but its heavy). does anyone no were i can get an after market trigger kit with a lighter pull? thanks in advance cheers.

Talk directly to TNW.

I purchased the Trigger Pull Upgrade kit from them a while back. They charge you an export fee as well.

It's really the best option.

Cheers!

thanks Desert_fox. i sent them an e-mail but didnt get a reply back. i guess i will have to give them a call.

They can be odd that way... I've talked to other guys who received no response too. I sent a carefully laid out email to them detailing exactly what I needed and that I was willing to pay any export fees to expedite the process.

I recommend purchasing extra bolt rollers/clips, new extractors and springs, and any other high wear part.

Good Luck!

PS: perhaps check out BRP Corp. as well and get a couple of their MG34 bolt tune up kits? Their ejectors are longer than the ones TNW sells.

I should have mentioned. It may be best to call BRP Corp. about your order and explain it is for the TNW MG34... If you try to use the online ordering method, it may reject you as you are in Canada, purchasing "Machine Gun" Parts.

Check out the Forum http://www.MG42.us as well for lots of info and tips for the TNW MG34.

I've wondered about this very situation. How are original MG34 parts that are to be used on a semi viewed under ITAR? And more importantly, if an export permit is required how would you go about accomplishing that, given that the manufacturer went out of business around 1945 or so...

And yes, talk to TNW regarding the light trigger pull kit. Supposed to work brilliantly and reduce it to around 3 lbs. or so going by what I've read.

The parts you would be purchasing for the TNW from BRP are actually new manufactured, not surplus. So there should not be a problem there... It's just the fact that the online order forms usually will not go through if not made out to a US address.

The lighter trigger pull for the TNW is acquired by replacing the sear, milling and adding another roller and pin assembly to the trigger and replacing a rear part of the bolt mechanism itself (can't remember the name right now)...

It does lower the pull significantly!

Cheers!
