After some friendly honest advice Re. Garand

Will I be able to get an original Garand used by a military? What sort of price will I be looking at? And besides the EE where should I be looking? I am not concerned with aesthetics but want a good action, my apprehension lies more heavily around a good bore. Any advice would be appreciated. As I only ever wont to buy one.

Well, unless you're buying one of those Springfield Armory repros or a put-together target gun, both of which sell for more than a service rifle anyways. I think they tend to go for 600-800. EE is likely to be your best bet, but they're not by any means uncommon.

There are so many of them around anymore. Just watch the EE.

All i remember is they came from overseas, a very dry area which is good for preservation. That's all i remember. But P&S has a very good reputation from what I was told and read.

My H&R Garand from P&S, had no rust or corrosion on the metal ,..the stock needed TLC,..and new stocks and hand guards are available.
