Wondering about an aftermarket bolt for my .223 rem 700, would like an oversized handle and prices approx

all you need, is to get your handle threaded
if you chage the bolt, you have to check for headspace and adjust if needed

Got my 700 done through Jerry at Mystic Precision, very happy with the work and turn around time. Think it was $30 for the bolt handle knob and $58 for the work plus taxes and shipping etc. Cheers Roscoe

If you need just the oversized bolt knob installed, we have the knobs in stock and will do the install as well. Knobs are normally $34.99, but we have some manufacturing seconds on now for $24.99 (very minor machine marks). Install is $35. All plus tax and $15 return shipping. Turn around is about 7 days at this time.

If you want to buy a bolt then just buy a custom action and do it right! A knob is a different matter.

if you mean an complete bolt, PTG is the best out there but costs are going to rocket up pretty fast.

We can do the work and fitting. sometimes, it is the best solution but a custom action is great value when you consider all of the orig action that will not be removed.

Ct2011...pacific tool makes many of the bolts found on custom actions. Depending on options it is easy to spend up wards of 400$ once you add fluting, fp assemblies, shroud, solder or tig handle and time. You can get back up to about 200$ for your old bolt if you find the right buyer. I can sell you a bolt, modify your exisiting one or sell you a complete action. One piece bolts are available from ptg as an option as well.

Thanks guys for the help, I think the handle is my best bet right now until I'm ready spend some real money, didn't realize the additional wrk involved with replacing the bolt ��
