Does anyone know who makes aftermarket wood stocks for X-bolt rifles besides Boyds?
I'm looking for a Monty Carlo style AA grade dark walnut with a oil or satin finish.

I don't think you'll find a nice wood aftermarket stock off the shelf for the X Bolt. You'll need to hire a whittler. Or maybe strip a factory stock and refinish it. Won't be super fancy wood but would cure the stock of the shiny finish.

browning uses that thick urethane finish that chips easily...I've seen a few examples where the stock was refinished and really brought the wood to life and you can finish to your liking

I've looked before for composite stocks for the xbolt, not much available yet and doesn't sound like much demand

I think you'd need to contact a custom stock maker
