The kydex stocks are junk. They flex, don;t bed well, and are generally "one size fits none". Forget those.
For laminates, Boyd's has the best price, but bear in mind any of the semi-inlet or "press fit" stocks are often overly chunky and not nearly as press-fit as you might think. They also often need considerable thinning to look anywhere near decent.
Boyds also makes walnut inlet stocks. Same comments apply and don;t expect the walnut to be anything like fancy. Think "factory Remington walnut" and you'll have a good idea of what these stocks look like. Also, with ANY boyd's inlet, especialyl for Mausers, the inletting will be gapy due to the tolerances they need to keep to be "press fit" and the large variance in military 98 dimensions.
If you want a truely nice stock and can afford it (big if), you realyl ougth to go the sustom route from an experienced stockmaker. This will separate the bubbas from the gunmakers.
Cheaping out on the stock will not tell you ANYTHING about how your action shoots because it won't fit very well and won't be bedded. Any Mauser 98 can be accurate but you'll need a decent barrel and the whole thing mated to a decent stock to find out just how accurate.
