Hey folks.

I've had an AG42 Ljungman in my collection for about a year now. It required a few spare and replacement parts to get it all back into shape, but I'm still faced with a problem. The magazine I have, has had the front catch broken off of it, and slips just slightly when seated.

I know replacement spare magazines are exceptionally rare, and I might almost just buy another gun to get one, so I'm considering making a catch to replace it.

I've considered spring-steel but have not come across any that's the desired width, to make the wrap-around catch. If anyone has any sorts of ideas or suggestions I'd love to hear them.

-Thanks

Have you tried shooting it as is? The slip when seated might not affect feeding. I seem to recall the front catch being an addition done to the magazines when the B changes went through on the rifles. It might work fine without, back in the original configuration.
