AG42B floor plate came off during shooting

What would cause the magazine to fail like this? Is it something to do with the magazine springs losing tension? Is the floor plate latch at the back of the mag bent so it doesn’t have as big of a ledge to rest on? The rivet appears to be tight still.
Has anyone come across this or knows what the problem is?
 
I took mina apart to see how this could happen.
The floor plate hooks into a tab on the front and swivels up to the back where it is retained by a blade spring with another tab on it which engages
in the slot in the floor plate.
I suspect there must be something wrong with this blade spring, broken maybe or lost its spring tension ?
