I just got an AG42B on trade and the rifle showed up with several cracks in the stock. I started to take the gun apart to assess the cracks for repair but as I continued to take the gun apart it revealed several more cracks. There is a total of 9 cracks. Three at the but of the stock, one in the tang, three on the inside of the stock, one at the stock cross bolt, and one in the upper handguard. Is it worth repairing this stock?
The stock is unbelievable how dry it is. I put a little bit of BLO on the side of the stock and the stock actually bubbled as it was absorbing the oil.
