So while this post will speak to a "narrow" group of candidates, I'm just interested if there are any "grads" willing to give a comment"
No specific's necessary. If this type of course is "our of your lane" well I'd appreciate your silence, nuff said.

That said? the course is scheduled for Sept? PM me if you think you want to do this before the May deposit deadline? I'd like to know if we have the enrollment.
Thanks

Take physical fitness VERY SERIOUSLY. Pretend you'll be on the show "The Selection" or actually going through the selection process for an elite unit in September and train accordingly.

It will be much to your benefit to have shooting fundamentals squared away but remember this, the challenge will now be can you still shoot at the same level of proficiency with your heart rate jacked up and your muscles exhausted. And then you're going to need to be able to do that on day 12 of 12.

More important than the shooting will be teamwork. You must be able to get along with the team and work through the stress and conflicts in a professional manner. I cannot stress how important this will be.

Thanks, no worries & I know your PT has to be G2G, and I was wondering when you would show up,

Cheers

I would recommend having your PT squared away for any of Agoge's courses. The PMCC more so. While the course is designed to pre train a series of skills for employability, it would be a hell of a 2 week shooting course even if not looking to work "elsewhere".

Ya given the trainer "cadre" the term "bag drive" comes to mind, cheers

100% focus on PT.
Assume if you're looking at the PMC course you've got your fundamentals down to a level of unconscious competence (ie. You don't think about things and just do them as required). As with most courses, keep an open mind and stay focused.

Wish I could join you guys this year!

For most there will be a ton of new material. The new material will challenge you mentally because you will need to be very aware of your surroundings, constantly moving/taking actions but all the while doing so in a coordinated and fluid way with your team mates. If you are physically tired (or exhausted) then this will break down. They will make you physically tired and exhausted, so by preparing you are mitigating the inevitable negative impacts and practicing doing things while uncomfortable.

So don't just think of the physical part as an independent, stand alone element that you have to do. It has a continuous and direct impact on the rest of the material you will be expected to learn and apply competently. The physical (and mental) exhaustion is cumulative, which is why I mentioned needing to be able to operate to the same level on day 12 of 12.

So if you have the shooting fundamentals and PT squared away well, you can focus on new material and working in a coordinated way with the team.

thinking about it but there is so few paying shooter jobs nowadays that a HSE qualification makes more sense for me, but that's no fun.
I'm still waiting for Trump to start some #### and bringing back the gold age of contracting.

I've set a personal goal to make this course for 2018. My physical fitness is nowhere near ready for this year, but it's something I plan on working at for next.
